NOW OPEN – Follow the work being carried out by your local County Councils

In this edition we cover access improvements and bridge replacements, in ESCCs words and pictures in the following sections and include a Ramblers Reports contribution, too.

[Ed: No one responded to my little challenge back in July to the “Breaking News” that the Bexhill-Hastings Link Road Greenway had just been opened and I was looking forward to hearing from the first Sussex Rambler who completes this new route! Surely that couldn’t be because I didn’t at that time know it is officially known as the Combe Valley Way Greenway. Well on a lovely bright November day recently two of us walked about ¾ of the distance and found it an easy walk with “beautiful views”. I have to say however that for a walker without a map access at the Sidley (western) end is not well signed. We are reporting, to the many parties involved, a need to improve signs some distance away from the actual start, so that people find their way through the urban jungle to the CVW Greenway itself!] Continue reading

“Breaking News”

The Bexhill-Hastings Link Road Greenway is now open: beginning in the west at Glovers Lane, Bexhill and going to the north-western edge of Hastings where Queensway meets Crowhurst Road.
